301 Cycle, LLC was established in 2001 by Ken Greenwood of New Castle, Delaware. The business is located on Summit Bridge Road, otherwise known as route 301 (hence, the name) in Middletown, Delaware. It started in a small garage and has since expanded to a 2 acre property with 2 buildings including a showroom and garage.
Ken has 40 years experience in mechanical, electrical, and machine work. He is known as one of the most trusted mechanics in the area who enjoys building bikes as much as riding them. Ken particularly enjoys challenges which gives him the edge over other shops. His research techniques and ability to apply theories to difficult carburetor, electrical, and motor issues earns him a title of Master Mechanic.
Ken's love of bikes started when he was a young boy visiting his Uncle Royden in England, who gave him his first ride in a side car. Later, a neighborhood guy named Joe who was a true 60's "Greaser" with his cigarette pack in his t-shirt sleeve, greased back black hair, and rolled up jeans, gave him a ride on his blue and white 1958 pan dresser. As Ken grew, he began to modify his, and his friends bicycles with home made banana seats, high sissy bars and colorful paint. Ken, at this point, was destined to achieve his motorcyle license the moment he turned 16 years old and was able to save for his first bike at 19 years of age.
What began as a simple ride in the country turned into a lifetime of knowledge and experience and the love for riding he has today.
